feature stories

Not every life story is lined in silver, coated with sugar and decorated with roses. But a rewarding life is one lived by your own merit through the good, the bad and the down right ugly. Your life is how you shape it and it's most certainly defined by how you live it. So in this section you will find real life stories from real life women who are doing their part to make a difference in the world. They are living their dreams and inspiring others along the way and we thought it only fitting to honor them, as this is what hdnd is all about. Over time this library will grow into an impressive collection of great stories, so if you know of someone who would make for an inspiring feature, please use the link at the bottom of this page to send us your suggestion. And make sure to get involved with hdnd!

This month we feature a woman who at the age 13 lost the use of both her legs, yet 25 years later is still competiting in international athletic competitions, becoming one of the most decorated Canadian athletes ever.

"She has been one fabulous role model, a splendid athlete and she deserves all the success she's earned the hard way,"
International Olympic Committee member Richard Pound

recommend a woman to feature

We aren't just looking for super hero athletes and corporate ladder wonder women (although we DO love those stories), we are also looking for a really great neighbor, or the super mom down the street with 5 children, the community Grandma, or the teenage girl who battled cancer and won. No matter how big or small, there are so many great stories that need to be shared so please use the link below to send in your suggestions, we'd love to hear from you! Email us your suggestions
