I heard someone once say, you need all kinds of people to make the world go round and that if everyone were the same, the world would be a really boring place. After launching hdnd, I quickly realized how true that statement really is. If you spend just one hour cruising through the Internet, you will quickly discover: how many people there are in the world; the uniqueness of people's dreams; the many organizations all over the world doing remarkable things to bring about change; and the MANY opportunities for you to get involved and give a small piece of yourself back to the world in which you live. Listed below are a few interesting articles we wanted to share with you and a few organizations we know of or have discovered that we feel deserve a little spotlight. Please do not read their descriptions and think "Good for them". Read them and think, "What can I do to help"? To inspire you to want to make a difference is the vision of hdnd.

Dove Campaign for real Beauty
I'm sure you've seen, or at least heard about the Campaign for real beauty that Dove has invested major time, effort and money into. I honestly think it's one of the most refreshingly honest, authentic and desperately needed campaigns to hit media in a really long time. With such damaging messages displayed and visually preached through the various media outlets, Dove's influence has females everywhere putting a little perspective into their definition of beauty.
